Camp Cho-Yeh Day Three

For our final day at Camp Cho-Yeh, our 7th graders picked up even more sticks (and several logs), cleared up piles of leaves, painted more bunks and spread grass seed around camp. After another yummy lunch at the dining hall, we boarded the bus to head back to Austin just before the rain started coming down. Thank you, Lord, for your perfect timing and for providing this awesome GoWeek experience at Camp Cho-Yeh!

Camp Cho-Yeh Day Two

Today at Camp Cho-Yeh our 7th graders raked leaves, pulled weeds and spread mulch around the camp. And our students picked up sticks around camp. And they picked up sticks. And they picked up sticks. The students picked up A LOT of sticks. The students helped the camp staff prepare for this summer’s campers (and for upcoming campfires) by picking up sticks around camp.

In the afternoon, the students learned to shoot arrows at the archery range, throw tomahawks at the tomahawk range and zip line at activity row.

The students finished the day with time spent on the high ropes course, an evening devotional and s’mores by the campfire. Camp life is looking great!

Camp Cho Yeh here we come!

Forty-seven energetic 7th graders and six calm, confident adult leaders hit the road this morning bound for Camp Cho Yeh in Livingston, Tx. Today we will be painting bunk beds and staining picnic tables to help get the camp ready for this summer’s campers. Stay tuned for more updates from our Camp Cho Yeh GoWeek team!
